October is ADHD Awareness Month. Throughout October, we're making space for understanding, compassion, and practical ways to support people with ADHD. Whether you live with ADHD or care about someone who does, you belong in this conversation.
Reducing the stigma of ADHD
Children, students, and adults with ADHD don't want to be singled out. Staying focused on a test or remembering a commitment can be challenging. As a business owner, I find it helpful to make a list at night. Small, practical supports can make room for the way each of us works.
If you've been diagnosed with ADHD: It's okay to forget sometimes. Don't be so hard on yourself. When you feel overwhelmed, consider calling a friend or taking a brief moment to pause, breathe, and move your shoulders. Then take the next step at your own pace.
If putting your thoughts on paper feels helpful, our Guided Anxiety Journal for Adults offers a structured place to reflect and check in with yourself.
If you're a friend to someone with ADHD: When they make a mistake, offer kindness rather than judgment. Share something you forgot recently, ask what would be helpful, or lend a hand getting organized.
If you're a parent: Love your kids and help make home a safe place. Notice their efforts, celebrate what goes well, and listen when things feel hard.
For young adults finding their own ways to reflect, our Guided Anxiety Journal for Young Adults offers prompts and space to put feelings into words, one page at a time.
People with ADHD have so much to contribute. Let's encourage their interests and strengths, and make space for the different ways they learn, create, and show up in the world. Be sure to check out products from our company specifically designed to help individuals with ADHD Focus & RE-Focus.
